Other nationalities are now getting into the act of deriding Senate Bill S.386. But the trained reader cannot help but notice how they end their piece with a new ask: PLEASE SIR MAY I HAVE MORE GREEN CARDS?

That is the essence of the disastrous bill called “The Believe Act” sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul from Kentucky.

If only these aggrieved parties, and U.S. corporations, and members of Congress would take a few minutes to ask American citizens what they would like to see happen, it would become clear in 2 seconds that the answer is a resounding “NO”.  As in “No More Green Cards”.

There is a reason that the H-1B, L-1 and OPT worker visas are designated “temporary”. Those individuals are supposed to be here on short term assignments – live and work here for a season and then head back to their home countries.

The corporate-congressional-special-interest triumvirate is responsible for this complicated mess we have created in our immigration system. Subsequent elections will either fix this mess, or create the conditions for the next civil war in America. Let’s all hope and pray for the former.
